The BTI-2 Cable System is a high capacity subsea network that connects Batam, Jakarta, and Manado across more than 5,800 kilometers, with branching units in Pontianak, Semarang, Banjarmasin, Bali, Janeponto, Kendari, and Luwuk.
Designed to overcome capacity gaps and connection instability across Indonesia’s many islands, BTI-2 strengthens domestic traffic flow while enhancing access to international gateways. With diverse routing, low latency, and scalable capacity, to further increase resiliency, BTI-2 will be a protection from the BTI-1 cable system and supports future-driven needs such as 5G, data centers, and cloud services.BTI-2 delivers faster, more reliable, and more inclusive connectivity for operators, ISPs, hyperscalers, and enterprises throughout Indonesia.
